- Golf Courses - So many you can't count them all, and some world class courses too.
- Water Sports and Sailing - The Columbia and Willamette Rivers run through Portland, the Columbia is a mile wide, and perfect for sailboats.
- Windsurfing - World class and lots of it.
- Fishing - You can still fish (and catch) Salmon in the city limits of Portland. Trout fishing is great in our wonderful clear lakes (less than 1 hour away).
- Hiking and Bike Riding - Lots of Bike Paths and the largest park inside the city limits of any city in the US. Also check out the "Springwater Trail" a forty mile path through the heart of Portland for biking, hiking, etc.
- Skiing - About fort-five minutes to year around ski lifts(and snow) The US Ski team trains at Mt. Hood at the peak of summer.
- Deep Sea Fishing and Whale Watching - The Oregon Coast is approximately one and a half hours from Portland.
- Walking on the Beaches - A delightful pastime.
- Just a few other fun things to do - Hot air ballooning, water skiing, White Water Rafting and Kayaking, Snowboarding, Cross Country Skiing----all with in an hour of Portland.
Portland also has Opera, Ballet and Theater that are the best of any in the US. Also for your enjoyment are World Class Wineries, Restaurants, and Micro BrewPubs.
